Head Coach of Men's Basketball & Athletic Director
Coach Spezia worked at the college from 1982-2007 and served as the Head Men's Basketball Coach and Athletic Director at that time. John's 1991 team won the national championship at Delta College in Michigan. That team and that national event is also what sparked the idea of bringing the NJCAA National Tournament to Danville Area Community College. Coach was the driving force in bringing the NJCAA Men's Division II National Tournament to Danville in 1994 and his teams appeared in five other national tournaments right here at the Mary Miller Complex. John was inducted into the NJCAA Hall of Fame in 2007. Coach Spezia currently resides in Danville.
