Coach/Friend and Lifelong Supporter of DACC Athletics
Dick Cheney was the first cross country coach at Danville Area Community College in the fall of 1967 and coached the team through the 1973 season. He was the mastermind behind hosting the national championship for NJCAA Cross Country in 1971. That event took place at the old VA Golf Course that brought in thirty-one teams from all over the country. Mr. Cheney taught at DACC from 1966-1992 and was a board member from 1993-2017. Dick currently resides in Danville.
