Baseball 5/18/2026 12:05:00 PM Baseball Season Ends in Region 24 Tournament CHAMPAIGN, IL - The 2026 seasons ends in the Region 24 tournament for DACC baseball as the team came up short after beating Vincennes in game one, and losing to Parkland twice. (May 8th) Game 1 vs Vincennes The Trailblazers (20-38) scored first in the top of the first with one run, but Danville quickly responded, scoring three in the bottom of the first and two more in the second, going up 5-1. The Jaguars held off Vincennes till the fifth inning when they scored three runs, but the Jaguars maintained the lead and brought in another run in the bottom half. The Trailblazers took the lead in the top of the sixth when they scored three runs, making it 7-6. Danville answered with six runs in the bottom of the sixth, and three runs in the bottom of the seventh to win 15-7. Drew Wichtowski was 3-5 at the plate with a homerun and 2 RBIs. Dallas Coleman had 3 RBIs and Eric Rodriguez had 5 strikeouts. (May 8th) Game 2 vs Parkland With the win, Danville had to face Parkland (38-18) on the same day. The Cobras came out on fire, scoring four runs in the first, one in the second, three in the fourth before the Jaguars were able to get on the board with a run in the top of the fifth to make the score 8-1. Parkland added on two more in the bottom of the fifth, then Danville scored two in the top of the sixth. One more was added in the eighth by Danville before Parkland scored two more in the bottom half to win 12-4. Jaydon Riggs was 2-3 at the plate with 2 RBIs. (May 9th) Game 3 vs Parkland The Jaguars were then in the position to have to work their way back into the winner's bracket as they had one loss on their hands. They faced the Cobras again on Saturday, and were held to just seven hits and one run scored in the top of the first. Parkland scored three in the third, five in the fifth, three in the seventh, and two in the eighth to take the 13-1 victory, ending the Jaguar's season.
