FRONTIER, IL - Jaguar baseball has officially started as the team traveled to Frontier Community College on Febraury 12th and 13th to face the Bobcats in four games total. 

February 12th (Game 1)
Danville got on the board first in game one in the top of the second inning before Frontier tied it in the bottom of the third at 1 a piece. The Jaguars scored two more in the top of the fourth, but then the Bobcats answered with four runs in the bottom half. Both teams scored a run in the fifth, Frontier scored two in the sixth, and Danville scored one more in the seventh, but Frontier held on to get the 8-5 win.

Braxton Waller went 2-2 at the plate with 3 RBIs, while Drew Wichtowski and Ethan Durbin also added an RBI. Eric Rodriguez had three strikeouts.

February 12th (Game 2)
The Jaguars got the win in game two where they combined for seven hits and held the Bobcats to just four. Danville was able to jump on the board first after Wichtowski hit a homerun to left field, scoring two. The lead went to Frontier at 4-2 after they scored two runs in the fourth, but the Jaguars responded big in the fifth after Jaydon Riggs hit a line drive triple to score three, and Ethan Durbin scored on a pass ball. Danville held off Frontier, only letting them score one run in the sixth to get the 6-5 victory.

Drew Wichtowski had the two-run homerun and Jaydon Riggs had the three-run triple. Kendrick Johnson got the win on the mound with three strikeouts.

February 13th (Game 1)
The Bobcats came out strong on the second day when they scored one run in the second, three in the third, and six in the fourth to run rule the Jaguars at 10-0.

Beau Raikes had five strikeouts.

February 13th (Game 2)
Danville wasn't able to get things going offensively in game two till the fourth, as the Bobcats were on the board first entering the third inning at 3-0. The Jaguars scored two runs in the top of the fourth, but Frontier answered with eleven runs in the bottom half to end the game early with a 14-2 win.

Danville will play again when they travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for their Spring trip starting Friday, February 20th.
