Softball Earns #2 Seed in Region 24 Tournament

Set to host #5 Heartland on Thursday

DANVILLE, IL - Seeding has been unveiled for the 2024 Region 24 Softball Tournament. DACC (31-13) has earned the #2 seed in this year's tournament, which means they will host the opening round. They will face the Heartland Hawks (27-27) on Thursday at Winter Park in Danville for a best of three series. Game one will begin at 1 pm (ct), and game two will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. If the series goes 1-1 on Thursday, the third game will be played on Friday at a time to be determined. The winner of this series will advance into the next round of the tournament.

The two teams met for the first time this season on March 24th in Danville where they split the doubleheader, Heartland winning game one 6-3, and Danville winning game two 10-9. They met again on April 14th in Normal where they once again split, Danville winning game one 12-7, and Heartland won game two 13-12.
