Jaguars Extend Win Streak to 3 with Win over Saint Mary's

Young Leads Offense with 21 Points

DANVILLE, ILLINOIS - The Lady Jaguars survived a close game over the Pomeroys. The Jaguars were up at half 34-19 and were looking unstoppable but after a 22 point 3rd quarter from the Pomeroys, the game became much closer in the 4th quarter. Despite the tremendous fight from the Pomeroys, the Lady Jaguars were able to keep their cool and come out with the victory by the final score of 71-67.

The win tonight gives the Lady Jaguars a three game winning streak and is paving a winning path heading into region play in the in next coming weeks. Tarneisha Young led the Jaguar offense with 21 points, Lauryn Wiley added a strong double-double performance with 15 points and 14 rebounds, Maria Falanga shot well in the field adding 11 and Hunter Edwards came up clutch in her biggest game of the year with 10.

The Jaguars are slated to play January 17th in Greenville for an away contest before coming back to Mary Miller Gymnasium on January 25th when they will host Region 24 foe Ilinois Central College.
