Women's Basketball Falls to John Wood

DANVILLE, IL - The Jaguars struggled against John Wood Community College on Saturday as the group was unable to get their offense moving.

Danville shot 5-19 from field goal range and were 0-3 from the 3-point line in the first quarter. John Wood started strong in the first as they shot 54.5% in field goals and 40% from the 3-point line. At the end of the first quarter, the game was tied at 15. The Jaguars improved to 33.3% in field goals and 28.6% from the 3-point line at the end of the second quarter and the halftime score read 31-25 John Wood.

The Jaguars shot better in the 3rd quarter with a 41.7% in field goals and were 1-2 from the 3-point line. John Wood was 9-13 in field goals in the third quarter and then 7-13 in the fourth. They were able to pull away from Danville as the Jaguars were only 3-17 from field goals in the fourth and 1-5 from the 3-point line.

Danville's next game will be Wednesday, February 28th when they host Spoon River at 5:30 pm.
