Lady Jags Drop Nail Biter to Olney

Wiley Racks Up 19 in Loss

DANVILLE, ILLINOIS - The Lady Jaguars dropped a nail biter to Olney Central College in Wednesday's night game.  Olney won the contest 55-53 to improve their record to (1-2) overall while the Lady Jaguars drop to (0-2) on the young season. 

Coach Harris's squad was looking extremely impressive as their defense improved immensely from their last outing holding the Lady Knights to their lowest scoring game of the season.  Within the contest, Freshman Lauryn Wiley lead the Jaguar offense with 19 total points while Maria Falanga added a modest 15. 

Moving forward, the Lady Jaguars are starting to see their game improve and Coach Harris remains optimistic. "We played very well tonight, there were a couple instances where we could have been better, especially with free throws, but overall moving from last game into this one I was happy to see our girls battle through adversity.  They are on the mend of breaking loose and we are making the right strides." 

DACC opened up the first half with the early lead and outscored the Knights in the 1st, and 4th quarters. However, were unable to come out on the winning end. 

Next up for the Lady Jaguars is Shawnee Community College on Saturday November 9th beginning at 1 PM.
