Jaguar Baseball Falls Out of Region 24 Tournament

Ends 2025 season with 17-31 record

SPRINGFIELD, IL - The 2025 Jaguar baseball season has come to a close as the team lost two yesterday in the Region 24 Tournament. 

Game 1: Parkland 7, Danville 1
The Jaguars (17-31) gave up sixteen hits in their loss to the Cobras (33-17) on Thursday. Parkland took a 2-0 lead after the second inning before they added on three more runs in the third to make it 5-0. Danville brought in a run in the top of the fifth, but were held to just that as the Cobras defense held them off. The Cobras brought in an additional two runs in the eighth, and closed things out in the top of the ninth; Jaguars losing 7-1.

Eric Fields had three strikeouts, and Lawson Leblanc had two strikeouts.

Game 2: Vincennes 7, Danville 1
With their first loss, the Jaguars had to play Vincennes (24-32) quickly after. Danville couldn't get their offense going till the fifth inning after the Trailblazers had a 5-0 lead, then Danville put a run on the board in the top of the fifth to make it 5-1. Vincennes added two more runs in the sixth to stretch it to a 7-1 lead, and held off the Jaguars for the remaining three innings to get the 7-1 win.

With those losses the 2025 season has come to an end for Danville. They finished the year with an overall record of 17-31, and a conference record of 13-19.
