Jaguar Baseball Earns #5 Seed in Region 24 Tourney

DANVILLE, IL - Seeding and opponents have been announced for this year's Region 24 Baseball Tournament, and DACC has received the #5 spot.

Danville has a 21-28 overall record, with a 16-16 conference record, giving them the #5 seed. They will first face #7 seeded Lewis & Clark Community College who has a 27-28 overall record, with a 13-19 conference record. These two teams just met for the first time this season just a couple weeks ago on April 26th and 27th. They split both doubleheaders both days, Lewis & Clark winning game one on day one 7-6, and Danville winning game two 11-2. On day two, Danville won game one 2-0, and Lewis & Clark won game two 9-8. They will play each other in this year's tournament at 12 pm this Friday in Champaign at Parkland College's baseball field.

Game two of the tournament for Danville will be against #2 seed Parkland College. Parkland is 37-12 overall with a 25-7 conference record, and they come in at #15 in this week's NJCAA national rankings. Last time the Jaguars met up with the Cobras on April 13th and 14th, Danville went 1-3 over the two days. Parkland won game one on day one 7-0, and game two 7-6. The Cobras won game one on day two 12-5, and Danville won game two 14-12. They will play each other also on Friday at 3 pm at Parkland College.
