Women's Golf Preparing for NJCAA Central District Match

The group of 3 making strides

DANVILLE, IL - The Lady Jaguar golf team is in the midst of their spring season, and are nearing the end as they approach the NJCAA Central District match on April 24th and 25th.

Despite there only being 3 members on the team this year, the group is working together and working hard to help build a strong program here at DACC. They started off the season this spring at St. Mary of the Woods College back on March 10th and 11th. They then moved over to Olivet Nazarene University on March 24th and 25th, and then to Illinois College on April 3rd. Their last stop was at Judson University on April 11th. Now it's time for preparation and practice as the District match approaches and the team looks to be successful.

Head Coach Debbie Toler had a few comments about this season so far:
"The girls have been working hard on their game over the winter on our indoor golf simulator. I have seen a lot of improvement in the golf swings and their confidence on the golf course. So far most of our spring matches have been cold, wet and windy. Our best tournament rounds so far for all 3 girls happened at Jacksonville Country Club at the Illinois College Invitational. Payton Armstrong came in 5th place scoring an 86. Cassadi Parks shot 94 and Aimee Pickel 102. Our next tournament we are gearing up for is the NJCAA Central District Championship which we will be hosting. The tournament will be held at Turtle Run Golf Club on April 24th and 25th."
