Lady Jaguars Win Big over Bethel University JV

Tarneisha Young and Asaya Bulgin have Stellar Performances

DANVILLE, ILLINOIS – The Lady Jaguars hosted Bethel University in a Saturday afternoon matchup.  The Jaguars have been seeking their first win of the young season, and today they achieved that goal. The Jaguars bested the Lady Pilots by a whooping 80-33.  This win marks the largest win in Coach Harris's short stint here at Danville.

Coach Harris on the game, "Defense, Defense, Defense.  Our girls shared the ball well and we came up on the winning end of the game.  It was nice to see our girls move the ball on the court and implement the strategy we focused on throughout practice. This was a good win for our girls, and now we need to build on this and move our program forward throughout the rest of the season."

Three Lady Jaguars ended up with double figures in points at the end of the game. Leading the pack was Tarneisha Young with 16 total points.  Freshman Asaya Bulgin had another stellar game, adding 13 points, and Alexus Mobley chipped in with 13.

The Jaguars came out how in the first quarter leading by 10, only to build that lead to a commanding 40-17 at halftime.  That was all the motivation needed to keep the Jaguars moving in the right direction in the second half, as they dominated their way through a thrilling Jaguar victory.

The lady Jaguars are back in action February 2^nd, when the host Kankakee Cavaliers at 5:30PM in Mary Miller Gymnasium.
