Baseball Wins Two on Day 1 of Spring Trip

Consistent Offense Pays off for Jaguars

MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Jagaurs Claimed the Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Schoolcraft Community College in game one of their day one opening double header.

Game One

The game was tied at seven with the Jaguars batting in the top of the sixth when Luke Hill doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Schoolcraft Community College Ocelots Freshman got things started in the first inning when an ocelot player singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Dylan Henning led the Jaguars to victory on the mound. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking one. Jake Andriole threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Andriole recorded the last four outs to earn the save for the Jaguars.

Jason Bollman started the game for Danville. He allowed five hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out five. The Jaguars tallied one home run on the day. Garrett Morrison had a long ball in the second inning. Danville totaled 14 hits in the game. Andy Bunton, Chase Vinson, Morrison, Evan Allen, and Nic Ancelet all managed multiple hits for the Jaguars. Bunton went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead DACC in hits.

Game Two

Keegan Nickoson was an RBI machine on Sunday, driving in four on two hits to lead Danville past Schoolcraft Community College 16-5 on Sunday. Nickoson drove in runs on a triple in the first and a double in the third. An early lead helped propel DACC to victory. The Jaguars scored on a double by Jake Andriole, a triple by Nickoson, a single by Garrett Morrison, a home run by Luke Hill, and a single by Andy Bunton in the first inning.

Kobe McNeely pitched the Jaguars to victory. He surrendered five runs on two hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six. Joey Galey threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. The Jaguars smacked one home run on the day. Hill had a four bagger in the first inning.

The Jaguars tallied 14 hits. Morrison, Chase Vinson, Andriole, Nickoson, and Hill all managed multiple hits for DACC. Vinson and Morrison each managed three hits to lead the Jaguars. Danville was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Nickoson had the most chances in the field with ten.
