Baseball Wins Two on Day 1 of Spring Trip

Consistent Offense Pays off for Jaguars

MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Jagaurs Claimed the Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Schoolcraft Community College in game one of their day one opening double header.Ā Ā

The game was tied at seven with the JaguarsĀ batting in the top of the sixth whenĀ Luke HillĀ doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Schoolcraft Community College Ocelots Freshman got things started in the first inning when an ocelot playerĀ singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.Ā Ā Dylan HenningĀ led the JaguarsĀ to victory on the mound. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking one.Ā Jake AndrioleĀ threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. AndrioleĀ recorded the last four outs to earn the save for the Jaguars.Ā 

Jason Bollman started the game for Danville. He allowed five hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out five. The Jaguars tallied one home run on the day.Ā Garrett MorrisonĀ had a long ball in the second inning.Ā  Danville totaled 14 hits in the game.Ā Andy Bunton,Ā Chase Vinson,Ā Morrison,Ā Evan Allen, andĀ Nic AnceletĀ all managed multiple hits for the Jaguars.Ā BuntonĀ went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead DACC in hits.Ā

Keegan NickosonĀ was an RBI machine on Sunday, driving in four on two hits to lead Danville past Schoolcraft Community College 16-5 on Sunday.Ā NickosonĀ drove in runs on a triple in the first and a double in the third.Ā  An early lead helped propel DACCĀ to victory. The JaguarsĀ scored on a double byĀ Jake Andriole, a triple byĀ Nickoson, a single byĀ Garrett Morrison, a home run byĀ Luke Hill, and a single by Andy BuntonĀ in the first inning.

Kobe McNeelyĀ pitched the JaguarsĀ to victory. He surrendered five runs on two hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six.Ā Joey GaleyĀ threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. The Jaguars smacked one home run on the day.Ā HillĀ had a four bagger in the first inning.

The Jaguars tallied 14 hits.Ā Morrison,Ā Chase Vinson,Ā Andriole,Ā Nickoson, andĀ HillĀ all managed multiple hits for DACC.Ā VinsonĀ andĀ MorrisonĀ each managed three hits to lead the Jaguars.Ā  DanvilleĀ was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.Ā NickosonĀ had the most chances in the field with ten.
