Lady Jaguars Stay Hot, Avenge Loss vs Kankakee

Spencer, Wiley and Annabella Falanga Lead Jaguars in Win

DANVILLE,ILLINOIS - The Lady Jaguars stay hot as they continue to have success in the second half of the year. After a tough loss earlier in the season to Kankakee, the Lady Jaguars stepped up and brought victory to Mary Miller by the final score of 56-52. The Jaguars have extended their winning streak and look to keep up the pace heading into next week and conference play. At the end of the firs half the Jaguars trailed the Cavaliers by three and had to make up ground in the 3rd quarter, and that is exactly what they did. Out scoring the Cavaliers in the 3rd quarter 17-10 which helped them prevail in the end.

Rachel Spencer led the Jaguar offense with 19 points, Lauryn Wiley continued to have success by adding 12 points, while Annabella Falanga chipped in with 11. Spencer also added 7 rebounds and 3 steals.

Coach Harris, "This was a great win for our program, we discussed having bigger moments against tougher competition and we saw that tonight. Battling through adversity has been our goal this season and the ladies are starting to see their hard work come to the surface"

The Lady Jaguars will take on Saint Mary of the Woods on January 15th in a home contest with tip off beginning at 5:30.
