DANVILLE, IL - In a Wednesday night double header contest, the DACC Lady Jaguars hosted the South Suburban Bulldogs in their final home contest of the 2019 spring season.  Heading into game one the Lady Jaguars hold a 25-14 record and have been heating up as of late. Game 1 - DACC 5 / South Suburban 4

The game started off with a quick three run spot in the bottom of the first inning; however, South Suburban managed to creep back into the game with a four run 5th inning.  Moving into the 6th an 7th inning, the Jaguars were down by a run with the score 4-3.  In the bottom frame of the 7th, Hannah Miener lead off the inning with a single up the middle to ignite the Jaguar offense.  Doubling behind her was Hailee Gifford and sealing the victory in walk-off fashion was Kelly Smith as she doubled to left field.

The walk off win is nothing new for this Danville club as they have done this multiple times this season. Coach Cervantes stated, "I am super proud of this group, they work extremely hard and they are learning how to win and gut out the close games.  This team is full of incredible athletes with clutch genes and honestly I can say anyone of these girls being able to come up and produce!"

Brianna Tatar homered in the contest driving in 2 RBI's and Kelly Smith was perfect at the dish going 4-4 with 2 RBI's. Collecting multiple hits in the contest were Hannah Miener and Hailee Gifford and adding to the offense was Tonya Faulkner, Taylor Gunn, and Holley Hambleton

Game 2 - DACC 6 / South Suburban 2

Moving into the second contest, the Bulldogs took an early lead off sophomore starter Hannah Ogg in the first frame.  However, the Lady Jaguars were able to tie the game in the bottom of the second, and go ahead in the contest by the 3rd.  Leading 3-1 in the 5th inning, the Bulldogs started to threaten the Jaguars as they scathed a run on a triple.  Amanda Hartman came into the contest and was able to induce a routine ground ball to escape the inning.
