Jaguars Drop Final Home Game of 2019

Wiley, Falanga and Young Produce Double Digit's in Loss

DANVILLE, ILLINOIS - In the final home game of the 2019 year, the Lady Jaguars dropped the contest to Lake Land College by the final score of 53-59.  The Jaguars end the 2019 year with a record of 2-7 but have been playing competitively within the young season.  Lake Land College entered the game today with a 11-1 record and averaging 72 points per game.

Coach Harris and her squad were able to hold their offense to only 59 points and keep the game within reach through the final minutes. Although the Jaguars had three players who tallied double digits in scoring, ultimately the offense was not able to get the motor going and pull out the victory.

Lauryn Wiley lead the Jaguars with 15 total points, Maria Falanga and Tarneisha Young added eleven respectively. Maria Falanga accumulated her first double double while adding 10 total rebounds.

The Jaguars will rest going into the New Year and will wait to face Illinois Valley Community College on January 7th.  The contest is a home game and will be played in a double header feature with the men's basketball team playing after. The game is slated to tip off at 1PM.
