Lady Jaguars Pick Up First Win of Season over Chargers

Spencer Knocks Down 14 in Win

GALESBURG, ILLINOIS - The Lady Jaguars picked up their first win on Friday, November 14th over the Chargers of Carl Sandburg Community College. The Lady Jaguars preserved through a tough battle to ultimately win the contest 55-49.

Coach Harris, "We battled through adversity and persevered through a tough battle. I am extremely proud of our girls and how they played. If we continue to do the little things like we did, we can really build off this heading into Kankakee on Saturday"

The Lady Jaguars trailed at half, and came out in the second part of the game and won the fourth quarter which is something Coach Harris was extremely pleased to see. "We've been struggling late in games and pull out 17 points and outscored them by a ten point differential.... it was huge for our squad, it helped build a strong foundation moving into the weekend."

Rachel Spencer led the Lady Jaguar offense with 14 points while Maria Falanga helped and pitched in 10 points. Spencer also locked down three 3 pointers and shot 50% behind the arc.

The Lady Jaguars head to Kankakee tonight Saturday, November 16th to play the Cavaliers (2-0).
