GALESBURG, ILLINOIS - Lady Jaguar Golf got underway this past weekend with a trip to Galesburg, Illinois for their first match of the season. All three players, Cassadi Parks, Aimee Pickel, and Payton Armstrong, all faced off with multiple opponents for the day. Parks scored a 103, Armstrong scored a 104, and Pickel scored a 114. Although the scores didn't turn out the exact way they hoped, it is a good starting point for the team.
"Being the first tournament, the girls felt the pressure of collegiate golf. They were not happy with their scores but we have a starting point," Head Coach Debbie Toler said. "They know what they have to work on to improve their game. I watched a lot of good shots, even a couple of chip-ins."
The group is set to head for University Park, Illinois on Wednesday, September 7th for their next matchup.
