Randy White joined the Danville Area Community College coaching staff in the 2024 spring season as a volunteer Women's Golf coach and is now the Head Coach of the team. Coach White is from the Covington, Indiana area where he coached the Covington boys' golf team for 20 years and the the girls' team for 2 years.
Randy played golf here at Danville Area Community College where he earned his Associate's Degree, and he then transferred onto the University of Wisconsin at Madison where he graduated with a CUNA Management Degree.
Coach White's passion for golf led him into the golf business where he was a member of the Illinois PGA Section and the Indiana PGA Section. He was a golf professional in the Danville and Covington area. He has run many youth golf camps and has helped countless people improve their gold swings and game. He has taught everyone from beginners to scratch golfers. He has had the opportunity to play with some celebrities like John Daly, Fuzzy Zoeller, and Gene Keady. He was able to transport Johnny Miller to Danville for an event that he was helping run as an assistant pro.Â
His objective is to recruit players that are ready to put Danville Area Community College on the map as a women's golf program. He would love the opportunity to help student-athletes excel both on the golf course and in the classroom.
