GODFREY, IL - The Danville Area Community College Jaguars volleyball team battled the Lewis and Clark Community College Trailblazers in a five-set match, ultimately falling 3-2 by scores of 22-25, 22-25, 25-13, 25-18 and 15-11.
DACC came out strong, taking the first two sets by identical 25-22 scores and moving within one set of securing the match. Lewis and Clark responded with a strong third set, earning a 25-13 victory before tying the match with a 25-18 win in the fourth set.
The Trailblazers carried that momentum into the deciding fifth set, edging the Jaguars 15-11 to complete the comeback.
Brenna Graddy and Kaylee Barker led the DACC offense with 10 kills each. Maddison Appl and Aleeya Rudy each provided a strong presence at the net, recording six and five block assists, respectively.
Kya Stahl anchored the Jaguar defense with a team-high 21 digs, while Nadya Paredes helped direct the offense with 13 assists.

Danville will play in their first two home games of the season when they host a tri-match with Carl Sandburg College and Elgin Community College. They will face Carl Sandburg at 11am and Elgin at 3pm.
