COLUMBUS, GA - It was a busy weekend for the 13th ranked Jaguar softball team as they got their season started at the NFCA Leadoff Classic starting last Friday with the final game being on Sunday.

No. 1 Indian River 9, No. 13 Danville 0
Danville (3-2) entered their first game late Friday morning against the defending NJCAA Division I National Champion and #1 ranked Indian River State College (9-0). An additional two runs were scored by Danville in the sixth, and despite Pellissippi's four runs in the seventh, it wasn't enough to come back.

An error from the Wildcats allowed Danville to score one run in the top of the eighth, and the Jaguars were able to hold off the Wildcats in the bottom half to get the 5-4 win.
