Women's Basketball Grabs Win Over Malcolm X on Saturday

CHICAGO, IL - Lady Jaguar basketball showed out in a dominant victory this past Saturday as they traveled to Chicago to face the Hawks of Malcolm X College.

Danville (9-2) got off to a hot start in Saturday's contest against Malcolm X (3-5) after scoring 19 points in the first quarter alone, and holding the Hawks to just 7 points. The score read 39-25 at halftime, 57-43 at the end of the third quarter, and Danville scored an additional 21 points in the fourth to stretch the lead and secure the 78-65 victory.

Julissa Danglade scored a game high 15 points, while Victoria Gonzalez, Tangee Gagau, and Ayanna Smith each scored 12, and Keiara Gregory scored 10.

Their next game is a home contest against the Bulldogs of South Suburban College this Saturday the 14th, starting at 1 pm.
