1-1 Weekend for DACC Volleyball

Beat Frontier, falls to Parkland

CHAMPAIGN, IL - DACC volleyball kept busy again this past weekend after hitting the road over to Champaign for Parkland College's tri-match on Sunday.

Danville Area Community College (10-16) walked away with one win and one loss yesterday, putting them with a .385 winning percentage as they edge the end of the regular season. Their first opponent on Sunday was against the host and fourth ranked Parkland College Cobras (32-2). The Jaguars were swept 3-0 (25-10, 25-23, 25-12). Aubree Leader led with 4 kills and an ace, while Kayln Cordes had 11 digs and Molly Doggett added 10 digs.

They played Frontier Community College (4-21) next where the Jaguars got the 3-1 victory. Aubree Leader had a huge game earning a double-double, with 21 kills and 19 digs. Molly Doggett was also a big part of the team's 56 total kills as she added 18. Kendall Roberts provided 26 assists, and Halle Brazelton added 24 assists, while Kayln Cordes recorded 24 digs.

Danville's next contest is a conference matchup with the Blazers of John Wood Community College on Wednesday starting at 6 pm in Quincy, Illinois.
