Volleyball Finishes 2024 Season on Saturday

DANVILLE, IL - The 2024 volleyball season has come to an end as the team rounded out their year at the DACC Tri-Match this past Saturday, the 26th. The Jaguars hosted Joliet Junior College and Lake Land College over the weekend as Danville played their final two games, as well as celebrated their solo sophomore, Molly Doggett.

Their first game was against the Wolves of Joliet (14-26) where Danville won 3-1. The opening set went the Jaguar's way, winning 25-19, but they fell short in the second, 20-25. They bounced back and won the next two though, 25-16 and 25-17.

Danville then played in the final game of the day against the Lakers of Lake Land (24-4-1) where they came up short in a decisive three set win for the Lakers (25-18, 25-7, 25-13). Aubree Leader had 5 kills, while Nikita Taylor and Peyton Williams each had 4. Halle Brazelton had 10 assists and Kayln Cordes had 11 digs.

The Jaguars finish out their year with an 11-21 overall record, and a 0-6 conference record. They had 908 total kills, 182 services aces, and 136 solo blocks in the 32 total matches played. Head Coach Shawna Jameson looks to continue to build on her program that hasn't been active at Danville Area Community College in over 10 years, as they only lose one sophomore from this season and have massive potential to improve next year.
