A Hole in One

MARION, ILLINOIS - A hole in one shot by a Danville Jaguar hasn't happened in a very, very long time. So long that even the Athletic Director, Tim Bunton, can't remember the last time it happened. Yesterday at the John A Logan Invitational in Marion, Illinois, Luke Mettermeyer was able to shoot a hole in one on the par 3 5th hole. Over the span of the 2-day invitational, Luke, along with the rest of the team were able to hold their own and play a fantastic match. Out of 11 schools, including John A Logan, Heartland, Mineral Area College, Rend Lake College, Lewis & Clark Community College, and more, the Jaguars placed 3rd as a team by scoring a 957. Grady Lancaster shot a 237, Caleb Lavender shot a 238, AJ Johnson shot a 241, Luke Mettemeyer scored a 243, and Cameron Bergman shot a 255. Rocco Page also shot a 239.

With that momentum, the team will head to Plymouth, Indiana to Marian University's Ancilla College tomorrow (Thursday, Sep. 29th) to play in another match.
