Jaguars Lose to Wabash Valley - December 18th, 2019

Daylen Williams Leads Offense with 18 TP

MOUNT CARMEL, ILLINOIS -   On Wednesday night, the Jaguars traveled to Mount Carmel to take on Wabash Valley. The Jaguars lost another as they continue to fight through a tough schedule by the score of 110-82.  Wabash scored early and often and lead at half by 15, which was more than enough to take the victory over Coach Gouard's squad.  In the first half, the Jaguars shot 47.2% from the field along with a 23.1% from behind the arch. In the second half, those numbers deflated to 45.7% and 18.2% respectively.

Leading the offense for the Jaguars was Daylen Davis-Williams with 18 total points. Helping his cause was Malik Parker with 16, while Armon Brummett and William Brown added 11 a piece.

The Jaguars will head into the break after a excruciatingly tough first half of the schedule. The squad finished 4-8; however, their record does not do justice on how well the team has been competing. Four of the Jaguars eight losses came by less than 3 points; therefore, Coach Gouard and his team are right in the mix.

The Jaguars will look to resume play once the new year hits and will take on Prairie State on January 4th in Chicago beginning at 1PM.  The Jaguars will return home on January 7th when they host Illinois Valley for a 7:30 PM contest.
