Andreas Coleman begins his 6th season as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Danville Area Community College. Prior to his new position, Coach Coleman was an assistant coach at Danville High School for the freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams. Coleman, a Danville native, is also responsible for organizing Team Manimal AAU, sponsored by his former teammate and current Denver Nuggets star, Kenneth Faried. Coach Coleman will be responsible for recruiting, scouting, on the floor coaching, and working with the post players in practice and games.

Coleman played for Danville High School from 2002-2006 under Coach Scott Olson and was named First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Area and All-State Honorable Mention. He started his collegiate career at Morehead State University from 2006-2009. In 2009 Coleman was a part of the OVC championship team that went on to play in the NCAA tournament. He later transferred to Quincy University where he continued to play basketball. While there his team made school history by having a National Top 10 ranking, starting the season of 17-0, and advancing to the Sweet Sixteen.

Coach Coleman graduated from Quincy University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management. He also has one daughter, Michael Ava Coleman.
