Zach Davis joined the Danville Area Community College coaching staff in May of 2024 as the Women's Assistant Basketball Coach. Coach Davis is originally from Peoria, Illinois  where he went to Peoria High School. In his high school basketball career, he was a member of the 2004 IHSA State Championship team. Davis has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
Zach coached at Schlarman Academy schools before his time here at DACC where he coached Varsity and Jr. High girl's basketball for four years, and coached one year of Varsity boy's basketball. During his tenured in Schlarman, he won 3 IESA Regional Championships, 2 IESA Sectional Championships, and placed 3rd at state twice in the IESA state series.
He currently serves as a Deputy Sheriff of Vermilion County full-time, and additionally serves as the Director of Girls Basketball with the Illinois Basketball Club in Champaign, Illinois. Coach Davis has always had a love for basketball and his community where he has been able to pour into for the future.
