Shawna Jameson was hired in June of 2023 as the head women's volleyball coach. Jameson is being asked to revive a program that has not existed for ten years. The board of trustees at DACC voted to reinstate the sport and begin competing in the fall of 2024.
Jameson is currently in her third season coaching high school volleyball at Armstrong-Potomac. She is a graduate of Parkland College as a certified Veterinary Technician as well as a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport. Jameson began coaching volleyball back in 1998 at Armstrong Township High School and did so through the 2005 season. The Penfield, Illinois native has worked for many years in club volleyball in east central Illinois and is very familiar with that circuit.
