Kashif Watson begins his first 2021-2022 season as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Danville Area Community College. Prior to his new position, Coach Kashif Watson was the Varsity Boys Head Coach at Schlarman Academy for two years.

Kashif played for Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nv. Kashif graduated in 2005. He was Rated No. 2 Shooting Guard on the West Coast. Watson was named Honorable Mention All- American by Street & Smith Magazine. Watson’s jersey was the only jersey to be retired in school history (#32). He started his collegiate career at Indian Hills Community College from 2006-2008, where his team was one of the top-ranked junior colleges in the nation, Watson earned Honorable Mention All-Conference Honors as a freshman. In 2009-2010 he attended University of Idaho, where he tied an Idaho single-game record with 20 free throw attempts vs Evergreen State.

 Kashif Watson, earned a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies with a Minor in Communications while attending University of Idaho in 2010. Watson pursued his career in basketball joining the NBA Summer League with the Golden State Warriors in 2010, later that year he was drafted 3rd round 4th pick to the NBA D-League New Mexico Thunderbirds. He moved on in 2013 to play in the NBA Summer -League for Brooklyn Nets as well as playing in NBL Canada Windsor Express. In 2014 Watson went to play in Mexico, 2015 he played in China and Israel, 2016 MNBA Mongolia, 2017 with the Illinois Coal Miners.
