DACC Men's Basketball Jamboree 2019

DANVILLE, ILLINOIS - As summer begins to close, we begin to embark on another Jaguar basketball season. Coach Gouard and company will begin their scrimmage season with stiff competition as they are set to host their 30th annual Jaguar Jamboree Classic. The Jamboree hosts multiple schools ranging across the state of Illinois and some from Michigan.

Coach Gouard on the Jamboree, "It's exposure for the kids, its one of the first live periods for four year universities and it gives those schools a chance to come see our kids perform on the court. It helps us coaches as well to see how our guys are performing and what we need to adjust going into our first regular season games of the year"

The Jaguars ended last season looking to build a solid foundation to spring them into action this fall. Coming off a 12-15 campaign the previous year, Coach Gouard and the Jaguar basketball program are doing everything to make it back to the National Tournament.

Coach Gouard on the upcoming weekend, "What I'm looking to see is how tough we can play against top competition. We play three schools who were at the top of their league, including one that made a trip to the national tournament. Also, I'm wanting to play against other teams to see what are strengths and weaknesses are in order to gather a strong game plan moving into the regular season"
