DANVILLE, IL - The Danville Area Community College Jaguars volleyball team picked up two victories on their home court Saturday, earning a 3-0 sweep over South Suburban College before defeating Wabash Valley College 3-1 in a tri-match hosted by DACC.
DACC vs South Suburban
The Jaguars opened the day with a dominant performance against the South Suburban College Bulldogs, winning 25-23, 25-8, 25-14.
DACC battled through a close opening set before taking control of the match. Kaylee Barker and Thayren Rigsby led the Jaguars with seven kills apiece, while Aleeya Rudy added five kills.
Tinley Parkerson directed the DACC offense with 14 assists. Maddison Appl contributed three service aces and two solo blocks, while Rudy recorded one solo block and two block assists. Kya Stahl anchored the Jaguars defensively with 14 serve receptions and 11 digs, while also recording two aces.
DACC vs Wabash Valley
The Jaguars carried their momentum into their second match of the day, defeating the Wabash Valley College Warriors 3-1 by scores of 25-23, 25-15, 23-25, 25-17.
Brenna Graddy led DACC with nine kills, followed by Maddison Appl with six. Rudy added four kills while making a major impact at the net with three solo blocks and five block assists.
Parkerson again helped lead the Jaguars' offensive and defensive efforts, finishing with 15 assists, five aces and 16 digs. Nadya Paredes added seven assists, three aces and 15 digs. Stahl contributed eight assists, one ace and 12 digs.

The Jaguars will have two home games in one week. They will host Heartland Community College on Wednesday, September 30th at 6pm, and Kankakee Community College on Thursday, October 1st at 6pm.
