Women's Basketball Season Ends in Region 24 Quarterfinal

MATTOON, IL - The Jaguars were unable to get anything going last night in their quarterfinal game against the Lakers of Lake Land, losing on the road 85-41.

Danville (14-16) had trouble stopping the Lakers (18-13) as they were up 22-4 at the end of the first quarter. Lake Land continued to attack offensively and held off the Jaguars for the game. The Lakers stretched their lead at halftime and were up 40-18. It was 58-29 at the end of the third, and Lake Land closed it out in the fourth to head into the semifinal with the victory.

That loss ends Danville's 2025-26 season with a 14-16 overall record and an 8-8 conference record.
