Men's Basketball Improves to 18-3 After Win Over Lincoln Land

SPRINGFIELD, IL - The Jaguars bounced back on Saturday after losing two in a row, getting the victory over the Loggers in Springfield.

Danville (18-3) maintained a close lead in the first half, but were able to stretch it over Lincoln Land (8-10) after a made three-pointer from Jeremiah Poniewaz in the seventh minute, to make it 21-12 Danville. A pair of free throws from Poniewaz helped extend their lead to 31-22 at the end of the first half. The Loggers pushed Danville in the second half, with the Jaguars only outscoring the Loggers 45-42, but Danville held on to get the 76-64 win.

Jeremiah Poniewaz led all scorers with 28 points, while Jordan Dickson added 11.
