Men's Basketball Improves to 21-3 After Win Over Illinois Central

DANVILLE, IL - The Jaguars are near the finish line for the regular season and they secured another victory Wednesday night as they won 96-86 over the Illinois Central Cougars.

Danville (21-3) hosted Illinois Central (15-10) and were off to a strong start early in the first half after the Jaguars went up 20-4 with still just over fourteen minutes left in the first half. The Cougars fought back but Danville maintained a ten point lead going into halftime. The Jaguars kept the lead through the whole game, only allowing the Cougars to get the closest within six points in the second half. Danville closed out the game with a final made free throw from Jordan Dickson to get the 96-86 win.

Four Jaguars were in double-digit scoring. Blake Reed led Danville with 21 points, going 6-8 from the three-point line and 7-10 in field goals. Jeremy Wilson scored 19 points, Jordan Dickson scored 15, and DeShawn Clark added 11.
