Men's Basketball Bounces Back to get Win Over Spoon River

DANVILLE, IL - Add another one to the board for Danville as they got their 7th conference win on the year, beating Spoon River College on Saturday.

The Jaguars (14-8) shot lights out over the Snappers (8-14) the whole game to maintain their lead till the end. The game was tied at 11 till the 13:46 mark in the first half when Dredon Nunn knocked down a 3-pointer. From there, Danville stayed on top and consistent, attacking the offensive board and stretching their lead. They had a 12 point lead at halftime, and went up by 13 after a couple made free-throws from Lorenzo McMillion just after the second half started. Spoon River closed the gap slightly later in the half, but it was Danville who stayed on top and got the 82-72 win.

AP Mitchell was the leading scorer of the game with 17 points, while Devan Larkin scored 14, and Lorenzo McMillion added 12.

Danville will play again on Wednesday, Febraury 12th when they travel to Godfrey, Illinois to face Lewis & Clark College in a conference matchup starting at 7:30 pm.
