Men's Basketball Cruises to 8th Conference Win on the Year with Victory Over Loggers

DANVILLE, IL - The Jaguars were unstoppable in their win over Lincoln Land on Saturday, earning themselves their eighth victory in the MWAC conference this year.

Danville (15-9) were all gas, no brakes Saturday afternoon against the Loggers (3-21), holding them to just 37.9% in field-goals and 28.6% in 3-pointers on the game. The Jaguars were out to a 16-point lead with 14 minutes still to go in the first half after a pair of made free throws from Jackson Twombly. They stretched their lead to 21 points with 3 minutes to go after a Jordan Harris made 3, and then went up 46-25 at the half. They continued to attack offensively and defensively, forcing 14 turnovers on the Loggers and converting them into 16 points. The Jaguars certainly bounced back after their loss on Wednesday, and got the 87-64 victory over Lincoln Land.

Lorenzo McMillion led both teams, earning himself a double-double with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Jackson Twombly scored 18 points, while Antoine Franklin Jr. added 11, and Blake Reed added 10.

The Jaguars will hit the road this coming Wednesday, February 19th when they travel to Peoria, Illinois to face Illinois Central College with game time starting at 7:30 pm.
