Men's Basketball Dominates in Win Over St. Mary of the Woods JV

DANVILLE, IL - The Jaguars were knocking down shot after shot last night in their win over St. Mary of the Woods College JV team to improve their overall record to 12-7.

Danville (12-7) took off quick last night in their win over SMWC, and was 26-41 in field goals just in the first half alone. They were up by 19 with just under 13 minutes still to go in the first half after a made layup from Jackson Twombly. They were then up by 23 at the half, thanks to Devan Larkin putting up a 3-pointer with a minute left. The Jaguars shot 41.7% in 3-pointers in the second half, where Blake Reed was 3-4 behind the arc. The team stretched the lead to 31 points with a little over 10 minutes to go, and finished the game with a 126-96 victory.

Lorenzo McMillion had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Jackson Twombly also had 20 points with 9 rebounds, while Dredon Nunn and Devan Larkin each had 19 points.

Danville will play again on Saturday, February 1st when they host John Wood Community College with tipoff starting at 3 pm.
