Lady Jaguars Get Win Over Kaskaskia

Keiara Gregory reaches 1,000 point club

DANVILLE, IL - The Jaguars improve to a .714 winning percentage thus far in the season after their win over Kaskaskia College on Saturday.

Danville (15-6) was able to hold on late in the fourth quarter over the Blue Angels (1-17) to get the 67-62 win. The Jaguars struggled offensively as they shot just 35.3% in the first quarter, and 16.7% in the second quarter in field-goals. They forced 30 turnovers though on Kaskaskia, converting them into 29 points. A push from Kaskaskia in the second half wasn't enough though as Danville held on and went on a short scoring run to finish strong. Additionally, Keiara Gregory was able to score her 1,000th career point in this game on a 3-pointer in the second half.

Gregory finished with a game high 28 points, while Victoria Gonzalez had 14, and Tangee Gagau added 12.

The Jaguars will head to Mattoon, Illinois on Wednesday, January 29th to play #11 ranked Lake Land College with tipoff starting at 5:30 pm.
