Men's Basketball Improves to 11-7 Overall with Win Over ICC

DANVILLE, IL - Men's basketball is on a roll recently as they added another one to the victory column on Monday with a win over Illinois Central.

Danville (11-7) improves to 5-1 in the conference with their 90-76 win over the Cougars (6-12). The Jaguars were lights out offensively as they shot 54.5% from field-goal range in the first half, and 61.5% in the second half. They were able to capitalize off of turnovers by scoring 20 points. They went up by 31 points halfway through the second half after a made layup from Alec Harrison. They outrebounded the Cougars 39-34, grabbing 28 defensive boards and 11 offensive boards. They also scored 58 points in the paint in comparison to ICC's 34, and had a total of 19 assists on the game. 

Jackson Twombly scored a game high 22 points while Lorenzo McMillion had 14 points, and Jeremiah Poniewaz added 11.

Danville will be off for a week before they play another game at home against St. Mary of the Woods College's JV team on Monday, January 27th starting at 6 pm.
