Jaguars Come Up Short to Rend Lake

INA, IL - Danville men's basketball had another road trip on Saturday as they traveled to Rend Lake College for a non-conference matchup against the Warriors.

Danville (2-3) played Rend Lake (3-0) on Saturday afternoon where the Jaguars struggled a bit on the offensive end which led to a 89-77 loss. The Jaguars had the lead going into halftime, 38-31, but were unable to stop the Warriors in the second half as they scored 58 points. Despite shooting 100% from the free-throw line, Danville shot 28.6% from 3-point range, and 47.5% from field-goal range. Rend Lake shot 34.5% from the 3-point line and 49.2% from field-goals. The Warriors also forced 17 turnovers on the Jaguars, while Danville only forced 9. It was tough to bounce back after the Warriors seemed to be on a roll. Lorenzo McMillion led the Jaguars with 15 points and 8 rebounds, AP Mitchell had 11 points, while Dredon Nunn and Blake Reed had 10 points each.

Up next for Danville is a home game against Lincoln Trail College tomorrow Tuesday, November 19th, following the conclusion of the women's game at 5:30.
